  3.  @strayblackcatsmeow  I worked for a company that at some point had tried to do some development with RFID with one of the gun manufacturers. It never went anywhere but I did get to see some of the prototype PCBs. I'm not sure what the actual issues with the deal were but I was told that the physical shock from firing was exceptionally hard on the electronics (this was for handguns). These were mechanical fired, not electronic.
