@irreverend_ Not that much healthier. You typically need to add oil to get that proper delicious crispiness. Though many oils are fine and not the health issue that has was pushed through the 80s,90s and early 2000s. DYOR.

@cronopl If the food is cooked to approximately the same result, the water vented will be approximately the same.

17:40 My air fryer genuinely has temperature control and even has a dehydrator setting. All the modes do is change the temperature and time though and those can still be changed from the independent controls so it's more like they're presets. It works well as an 'oven' too though some adjustment over regular oven usage is required (I usually drop temp and time by about 20%)

@zhoufang996 Kill-a-watt type devices can log accumulated kWH. I would not be able to use the one I have on my 240V oven though.

@bluephreakr We really should have more outside venting than venting unwanted heat into conditioned spaces then paying to move it outside. Even PCs for example can be 500-1000W

@irreverend_ I hadn't thought of the instant pot for filament. Interesting idea. It would save having to print mods for my dehydrator.
