  1. They're desperate to stave off the coming depression. They know the paltry $1200 checks will only delay the economic collapse by 2 weeks and that the corporate giveaway will never alleviate any of the financial woes of the working class, because it won't "trickle down" this time either. They're hoping the death rate from the "cure" is significantly less than that of the projected models for an overwhelmed healthcare system.
