@stephenwerner1662 Trump is set to recover over $100 million dollars with the bill he signed. Hotels will be compensated for 100% of their lost revenue. If you think this wasn't going to be another windfall for corporations you are grossly naive.

@anybody2501 Nah. That's horse shit.

@anybody2501 I'm not "chearing" them on. Of course they are wealthy. Politics is a rich man's game. That's why they are so poor at governing. They aren't us. Be that as it may, we're already seeing the effects of ignoring the threat. I'm just waiting for the smoke to clear after the shit hits the fan.

@stephenwerner1662 You did say golf courses. We'll see how Trump manages to get around this and cash in on the handouts.

@anybody2501 "Morons like me" (?) I'll take that as a compliment. I've been retired since 2009. I have homes in 2 different states; one blue, one deeply red, which is where I am now. The shut down here is all Republican launched...every bit of it. In this state we have the highest rate of uninsured people in the nation. The picture of how this modern day plague unfolds will be different from state to state and city to city. What is certain is that the U.S. is now, thanks to the Republicans and the drug addled, mentally ill puppet they protect, number one in the world in the spread of the disease. If you are old enough to remember the AIDS epidemic, you should recall the phrase "Silence = Death". Trump's silence and those he silenced gave this disease a foothold in this country. To be free to continue to spread the disease by pretending that business as usual is a Progressive stance is sadly mistaken. That was the Republican's plan of action and it has failed miserably. I have lived below the poverty line most of my life and I can tell you there are things in life far worse than being broke and out of a job.
