  2.  @randomrules7  I went to the ER while out of state (in Texas) I had Medicaid in a different state, which wasn't valid anywhere else. Walking through the door cost $1150.00 Being seen by a doctor was $850.00 I was given two doses of meds, one for nausea and a muscle relaxer, $1200.00. 3 xrays @ $1500.00. I had a tiny piece of meat stuck in my throat and couldn't swallow. I coughed it out while there and went home. $4200.00. I'm lucky they didn't have to perform any procedures while I was there under observation.

  3. This "no more private insurance" idea is total Bullshit. Do you think anyone with money is going to fuck around with going to a Medicare facility? NO! They will stick with their high dollar specialists, who will have more than enough customers to keep them in business. Private insurance is not going away no matter what kind of universal health care comes along.
