  1. Ruby did know Lee Oswald. Rubinstein was also an associate of Richard Nixon. Of course they didn't want Oswald to stand trial. Too much information about Oswalds background and who he knew couldn't come to light without implicating others involved in the assassination. Far from being "the lone gunman" Oswald was, in his own words, "I'm just a patsy."
