@Born Albertan It's New York State asking for his taxes. This has nothing to do with being president. This is about defrauding state income tax laws, insurance fraud and property tax fraud. This is a criminal investigation, not an election nicety..

@anavrinhsub6081 Technically he does receive his salary. It's required by law. He does donate it back to some government agency. $78K paid out 1/4ly is a drop in the bucket compared to the $15 million a year he saves after giving himself and his family that big tax the Republicans pushed through.

@jnichols3 Trump is facing a tax and insurance fraud investigation by New York State. There are 6500 building liens for unpaid bills to contractors on Trump properties. I'm sure you really can't fathom the extent of Trump's financial crimes. He owes 100s of thousands of dollars to the cities where he held his reelection scampaign rallies, in unpaid bills for city services and police protection. He owes Washington DC $9 million for security during his inauguration despite $50 million that is still unaccounted for from the money raised for that event.
