  1. Obviously Judas WAS NOT considered evil by Jesus referring to him as a "demon". The term had no negative connotation until well after Christianity had become the religion of the Roman Empire. After that the old gods were demoted to the realm of benevolent spirits; later to be replaced by the calendar of saints, again, benevolent spirits, not evil beings.
