  1. A somewhat happy ending for the house. It didn't get torn down but it was hardly more than an upper middle class manse...not one of the 5th Avenue palaces we've come to expect on This House. The original building looked much like a firehouse, the present building looks like a warehouse. Sad, all the way around.
