@barbiquearea Thank you for that. A little perspective on the situation is refreshing to read. I never thought of the Confederacy as being filled with traitors. It was a contest. The gray team lost, the blue team won and secession was proven to be a failure. These statues should be taken down from their pedestals but not obliterated from history. Surely there is a middle ground somewhere. Time for the sore losers to get in line and take pride in being Americans, not whine about some nebulous right as separatists.
