What a load of horse crap. The Middle Ages were not all famine, plague, and toxic body odor. What we would find boring and uncomfortable wouldn't kill us.

@BxBirthday Exactly. Or raised rabbits. If meat wasn't consumed right after it was butchered, it would be dried, salted, or smoked. Not letting meat rot, let alone eating rotten meat, was a no-brainer for anyone living in the Middle Ages. Eating at an inn or while traveling was the biggest risk of getting bad food.

@grannyannie2948 Norman peasants were in Normandy. Normans came to England as part of the new nobility and gentry ruling the country after William the Conqueror replaced the old ruling class in 1066.
