  1. If you want wages to go up in the US, then outlaw wage slavery. Self-directed work must become the only legally acceptable form of employment. Capitalism even bourgeoisie capitalism of small owners is the problem. Democracy at Work in the form of solo entrepreneurs with no employees and no contract labor, partnerships with only partners as laborers, worker owned cooperatives, and worker directed not-for-profit corporations and for high investment and high return enterprises hybrid worker/consumer-owned cooperatives as well as civil service employment should be the only forms of employment. Even in terms of civil service most work should be farmed our to contracted worker owned cooperatives. If we make that change there is no need to worry about “automation” as work hours will be reduced, but workers will earn drastically more per hour. A fundamental shift to a hybrid market/community based socialism an anarcho-socialism/democratic socialism/libertarian socialism hybrid is the only thing that is going to fix this economy.
