  1. 12 US Army soldiers armed with light infantry weapons and the aid of a handful of 50 year old bombers operating tens of thousands of miles from home in some of the most difficult terrain on earth, and the aid of less than 1000 local insurgents obliterated 50,000 battle hardened troops with 2 decades of war behind them, equipped with heavy artillery and tanks in 3 weeks. Who exactly is a genuine threat to the long term security of the USA? China -one of our largest trading partners? Russia whose military budget is 1/2 of China’s which is only 1/3 of ours? I mean Russia has 1/6th our military budget and while its elections are questionable, Putin is actually popular in Russia, so technically at least as much of a democracy as the USA. The next 8 out of 10 largest military budgets belong to NATO members, the world’s largest democracy India, and our biggest client state Saudi Arabia. Who exactly is going to attack the USA?
