@jakeryan2805 They are investing in and improving infrastructure in the Philippines they haven't done that in the US in so long that it is deteriorating. Most of the world has better or on par infrastructure with the US these days with rare exception.

The Philippines were a US territory and from the moment the US took control of the Philippines the US worked to provide the Philippines independence. The Philippines and US have great relations because of that fact.
