  1. Getting the Q value into the right range would be a major breakthrough. Designing a gadget that can achieve those Q values and sustain the temperatures a successful commercial reactor must operate at while extracting usable energy is easily another 30 year engineering project. Could a Manhattan Project like investment get it down to 4 years? Maybe, but it's a considerably larger engineering challenge.
