Ordinary working class Americans pay a wealth tax of about 2% every year when they register their car, or in the form of "property taxes" if they own their home or by paying those property taxes indirectly if they rent. The working poor pay a wealth tax for their landlords in other words, but billionaires are crying about maybe having to pay a wealth tax equal to the wealth tax the working class has always paid. Cry me a river!
