  3.  @ODColon  Interesting point you make. Taxes are only one issue. Others are a one state party system, increasing polarisation and demonising of the right, an expected accelerating of the regressive left process with the resulting dire consequences of a political police force and judges. Failing Universities as CRT & DEI becomes more entrenched. It has a cascading effect. There is a University in the state which recently fired a lecturer for showing a painting of the Prophet Mohammed . So this particular University is already working under sharia law.

  7.  @davidhunter801  I ask because when the bread earners and tax payers leave a state ( say East Germany) that is an alarming dynamic. You are hemorrhaging taxes, innovation, culture etc . Taking into account the social welfare state in Minnesota, these taxes are needed, as more gang members , Muslims and other undesirables are drawn to the government hand outs. Most people fail to understand how quickly a society can change. Look at Europe‘s history during the Cold War. How people left Hungary, Czechoslovakia , Poland. Turns out that Walz is a bona fide Communist.

  8.  @suddify666  The CC permit is next to impossible to obtain in reality because of politics. The police budget may have gone up but many cities can no longer fill LE positions, hundreds of officers are missing, so the money is in reality worthless as the police no longer has any backing. Austin Texas has the same LE political problems as Minneapolis, and no one will move to Austin from Minneapolis because the problems are the same. The point of leaving progressive jurisdictions is a local one. other reasons why people leave are the school curriculum and the corruption of the teacing profession, as well as knowing that Minnesota's high taxes go towards demonising you. This happens everywhere in that State and it will only get worse. Taxes were adjusted to pay for the looting. Minnesota is a liberal utopia with its high taxes, trifecta Democrat in the capital and more regressive left wing laws having been announced.

  14. It is not silly. Jurisdictions run by the regressive left are going down hill. This has nothing to do with a states legislature. It is down to city and county DAs. You could say that dismantlement of 2A will accelerate this negative trend ( MN, CA ) as people can't protect themselves. Yes the culture war is all over the USA and indeed the West globally, but here again Berlin, Germany is worse than Munich, Germany. And regarding you "modern policing" point, yes it does disappear by crossing a border, as Texas or NH, or any other sane place does not demonise its LE. You can live in rural Minnesota, but your taxes will pay for the urban insanity, you can not carry a gun and aren't welcome in most urban areas in Minnesota.
