If people could see the patients in closed psychiatric wards who are psychotic because of cannabis things would change. If you could interview and talk to nurses, psychiatrists and psychologists who end up having to treat and save people from the side effects of cannabis that would go a long way. The medical costs of treating mental illnesses brought on by cannabis consumption are big. Some people end up as mental wrecks and never lead a normal life. They are caught in a never ending state of psychosis. Here in Germany 🇩🇪 the current government will legalise weed, but if you talk to psychiatrists who end up with the resulting human wrecks you get a much different picture. Cannabis is a depressant, just like alcohol. The idea that you can consume a drug, or anything for that matter and have no side effect is naive at best. When you consume highly potent weed you are dicing with mental illness. Never mind if your brain hasn't developed yet, then you are asking for a trouble. Western society isn't doing itself a favor and is in effect betraying its youth. We do not need weed, blow etc to be more happy. Maybe we should ask ourselves why people feel the need to get stoned so much ?

The cannabis industry certainly owns the narrative as the deeply ignorant comments for cannabis in this comment section are proof of. The level of utter wilful ignorance and self righteousness is eerie. Never mind those who have been killed by baked drivers, or those harmed by violent psychotics. You have to hand it to the weed industry and the half baked educated who think they are smart. But as those who were killed by people under the influence of cannabis pile up society will see what it has unleashed.

another aspect of cannabis consumption is that people often start to mix drugs. They will drink and smoke , and this means taking TWO depressants. The will smoke and do acid, or blow or GHB , or H, or K, shrooms etc. Many people will have no negative effects, but there will always be a good sized percentage of users who will get addicted and or develop a mental illness. That is a very simple medical fact, just ask your local psychiatrist. What people fail to understand is that you stand a high chance of either crippling yourself mentally, thereby missing out on much happiness and a normal productive life, or you end up dead. Or you end up as a burden to your family & society because you will be unable to take care of yourself.
