  1.  @EdNashsMilitaryMatters  Being a Zionist myself I of course love Wingate.  He was involved in many campaigns across the world. The entire Israel story is fascinating, because the initial Jewish militias were formed to protect against Arab attacks in the 1920s. They were only painted as "terrorists" later. The Jews had no one to protect them. What went down in Mandate Palestine and then Israel from 1920-1950 is so dense you need an extra YT channel. I have been to the Irgun museum in Tel Aviv. With models of the streets and houses and their ambushes and raids against the British. 🇮🇱 Good stuff. Never mind the British hunting early Islamists like Izz ad-Din al-Qassam and killing them.
