  3. that's because it wasn't Rhode island yet but it was a colonization and actually they did have slaves for the simple reason they were part of the 13 colonies

There may not be any slaves still alive and we don't know that for sure.but I do know for a fact that there are two living grandsons of President John Tyler who was born in 1790 his son had slaves and if he has two living grandsons two grandsons remember slaves being in their home. And they're still living today

Ruffin Tyler and Lyon Tyler.though they were both born in the nineteen-twenties they do remember slaves being in their home for the simple reason that their father still had slaves at that time they'd never let them go
