But people like this, like the ones who held slaves, committed genocide, lied to people for personal gain, etc, and still thought the future would hold them in high regard, they're all mistaken, and it's only gonna get worse for them with time as we become better at seeing the past. Their life is like one lifelong VR session. Only they never get to take the VR headset off, and the story they were playing out sucked balls.
