But We, we have a choice. When we do have a choice to do less evil, and yet we go on saying that it's ok to kill/ have someone killed for food because it's 'needed' for their 'sustenance' and 'survival', when it is clearly not, which makes it a messed up excuse to go n killing members of several species, entire generations, gone into the chop shop.
Why do you have sympathy for just humans(or animals humans have told you are "friends") and suddenly when something that would be human right violation, is done to an entire species, you feel nothing?
Iv'e never eaten meat and i never will, and i know i'll never need to, because eating meat is NOT the highest source of "Protein", which some knuckle-heads use as an excuse. Because if eating a lot of meat made people "healthy" then america (+other countries) wouldn't have so many over-weight people, who can't even walk by themselves.

***** I will still have you know that I have never consumed, voluntarily, any meat, in my whole life, and i am perfectly fine, not short skinny, malnourished, etc, nothing, so meat being a non "reciprocal" product, not to forget everyone that dies in the process. In simple words: I see myself as someone who can think more than a wild animal, and someone who has choices and understanding of actions and morality. I do not look at the truth of the civilisation around us, because that keeps changing, so it has not much to do with morality, but with choice.
I, like most everybody else, have a CHOICE of letting other animals live, not involving someone's death in every other meal (and looking at it with a warped pov), i WILL take it over killing animals and finding an excuse to call it ok, Anyday.
If to you, there exist various levels of morals, if not true good and evil, would you NOT call Killing and eating innocent animals who have been stripped of everything they were to be born into a LESS MORAL act than going about eating carrots and potatoes?
Neither of them may be "evil", nor may they be "good", but One WILL BE WORSE than the other. And i seriously doubt that it's the one who doesn't want to kill.
I'm not even being biased to my beliefs, it's just literally more moral than killing and eating animals, Especially when there is absolutely no need of it.

***** Hehe It's quite funny, but I Live in India, and from what i remember, around the time i was born, i think we didn't even have a house to live in, Let alone being in a developed country, hehe :B. I am half scottish though, but i've never seen Scotland, so you can say that i have spent, literally, my whole life, living in a 2nd world(ish) country, and turned out pretty healthy compared to a lot of people, even if they ate meat and i wouldn't credit it all to genes.
You could say that i come from a "tough(ish) life", because the difficulty of your life is relative to the one you compare it to, but i got education, so. :D
You will miss no core nutrient if you don't eat meat. Hemp seeds even have Omega-3 Fatty acid, along with others of the line, which according to many people "only fishes have" and I live in INDIA lele, you must have it so much easier there, getting any product you want, relatively, take my word on it, you don't need it if you stop telling yourself that you do.
Believe me, a KG of meat(unhygenic, killed and cut on the side of the road, in a make-shift meat shop here, often costs more than 10 KGs of some vegetable, depending on the prices, but never less. And you can't eat meat by itself either, well you can, but.. well maybe someone likes it.

Now, EVERY CULTURE holds DEEP MEANING, but ONLY to the people who're a part of it, doesn't matter what it practices, because you, cannot judge them, because you are in the same situation.
So basically, a bunch of people in the past come up with random shit to do, stick meanings,god,values to it, then people after them like monkeys, stick to it, too, and find everything about it to be RIGHT (obviously, why else would you follow it, perhaps confirmation bias?)
Then if your Culture is "good", then so is EVERY OTHER, according to its participants, even the nazis and the cannibals and the matadors, etc.

Also, keeping women in the house and treated like property, infanticide, ethical cleansing, greed, and other such things are "Traditions" too.
It's easy to justify 'traditions' until those traditions don't start fucking your life up.
Not to overlook the fact that people have always had traditions and they've always disappeared along with the people, making each one equally pointless and arbitrary.

The only thing you need, to realise how wrong you are, is the ability to empathise with more than just one specie, and if you do (like with your dog or other pet), then HOWCOME you are able to STILL separate one more specie into the list of "these animals can feel and it is immoral to kill them", and another, if it becomes endangered(by you and others who used same reasons to kill them), Altogether, still being able to ROB the animals you eat, of their very being and sentience, you pretend like they enjoy it or something, but you would be the first to raise a finger if anyone proposed doing that to the animal called human.
This hypocrisy irritates me for I cannot figure out WHAT it is, that makes you able to think like this, maintaining these double-standards on a daily basis, covering your existence with more perpetual lies.

PnutButterNbicheZ Boom, there we go :D, any animal knows what suffering is and what pain is, because they have experienced it, as they have starvation, and we at least are the most gifted in the ability of empathy too, it sickens me how deliberate and pointless it is, let alone, justified, celebrated and condoned, lol....

Favier Wei Hehe, yeah. That happens because they have a warped idea of what 'good' is. And once they stop thinking of killing animals by the billions, as a good thing, they automatically become people who never bothered even when told, and ultimately get addicted to it.
They also like to act like it's all "natural" and that they're not deliberately doing it(there is always some realisation even in their heads, of the animal's sentience, they're just so well indoctrinated).
Like it's all just part of their software. (which it is not, or we all would love killing animals.)
There's also this thing, like " They look like me, if I protect their values and them, I will be protected in return." So even if they have no idea what the things they are making assumptions about, mean, They'll just nod to their beliefs without question, because it keeps them and their herd absolved from ever having to admit their acts, and get to do what they want without being judged. It is probably one of the only things that keeps them from realising the truth of their own actions, and keeps them as an "all goody 2 shoe good society following monkey", and I guess that's the closest thing to 'redeeming' themselves apparently. Not stopping the killing, let's just change the way we think about it to justify our means and ends, by ourselves.
Being a plague upon every sentient life on the planet, they STILL have the vanity to think of themselves as great people. Is there any more delusional one can get?
