Love to see the brothers talk. Awesome to see this, thank you, John! Thank you, Father!

Excellent, this is a good conversation whenever I see these two.

In conversation with my spiritual father now preparing to be baptized. The battle of the converts seems to be a battle between two factions that haven’t settled into where they should submit yet. Maybe they’re at the check in to the hotel and they’re not yet sorted into their room. I’m not above it either.

I think you need Fr. Stephen DeYoung on. “God is a man of war” was a very good book by his. I swear it’s much more than the cover.

Hey man, it’s already hard being interested in Orthodoxy in Japan, leave the vending machines alone 😭😭😭😭😭

Love Uncle Seth 😂 honestly these episodes are a kind of comedic oasis whenever they come up, excellent. Thank you both, God be with you! ☦️

I’m from Wisconsin, but apart from family and my “up north” cabin culture the Serbian and Sheboygan’s Greek community is mostly what culture in Wisconsin is for me now.

Uncle Seth’s a good guy, this is the best US episode IMO

Meanwhile the other brother is giving back to back “Christmas Heresy” gifts haha I love you guys! Fr. Peter and John are both together an icon of the perspectives of westerners coming to Orthodoxy and dare I say an image of the struggles between those two factions. It’s truly beautiful though I think, it’s what we’re going through and seems a fractal example. Jay Dyer and Fr. Andrew Stephen Damick are another variation on this it seems to me tho in that case a lot more adversarial! Lord have mercy on us! Thank you for all you do!

The touchstones are the patterns and the billion bits are the mechanical components. Also hrmmm “timeless” I cannot think of anything more timeless than a God that is outside of space and time.

These chats are like medicine sometimes, it’s like “do I really wanna listen to uncle Seth describe his personalized worldview” but its good haha both to hear an outsider and to see John Leer as an example of what a continuous conversation with an outsider looks like. Takes character to put positions on the chopping block and so both Seth and John are really onto something with this. But, how does Seth’s worldview scale up in such a way to avoid the chaotic clown world we have now tho? I wonder is it even possible to get a satisfactory answer on that from a worldview that only recognizes things of a metaphysical nature when it has to? I.e. when care/harm/safety😷 are your only concerns how can you unite people in any meaningful way? I’d love to hear his answer to that if these YouTube comments are considered for the pod. Great podcast, thanks a ton.

Became imperial is a problem? Why was Paul going to Rome then? He was trying to convert Rome which he achieved in Constantine’s conversion.

@doorman360 I think Miaphysite, not sure if that makes a difference because they are still non-chalcedonian, but I think Monophysite is not the same exactly. I am Serbian Orthodox, I’m not defending miaphysatism, but maybe clarifying. She found Coptic Orthodoxy but didn’t resonate with her Greek culture perhaps owing to her youth at that time. Idk, seems to check out. I liked the conversations with her regardless, John has talked to some odd people and she’s hardly the oddest haha. Side note: homage to The Lord in the Midwest through the Serbian Orthodox Church. When America Balkanizes be with the balkans! ☦️ 🇷🇸

So, water ship down is a strange movie. I wonder if you and Jonathan Pageau could talk about the symbolism of that film, then you’d be talking about rabbits in the symbolic world. Think about it, might be a hit.
