Regan won by a landslide because people found out his challenger was a socialist without him declaring himself as one. The democrats have soldout america a long time ago. @thadlincolnii7398 the US was already heading out of the depression during the war. The war efforts boosted national manufacturing and industrial industries. So no the result of the war wasnt the underlying condition that brought us out of the depression, but the war itself did. Winning was icing on the cake.
