  1. Article 5 of the NATO war machine does not include foreign expeditionary wars. The UK went off to fight Argentina by itself, France pursues it colonial adventures by itself. Iraq, Syria, Libya, Afghanistan and Serbia all had some coalition of the willing and some United Nations fig leaf of legitimacy. Macron should remember the primary and secret rule of NATO, always, always a smaller, weaker country then the pack of Hyenas can pounce. Never, ever pick a country that can destroy you.
