  1. It's great to see a common sense approach to this. See it as a funny incident, at least the kids were polite, a similar reaction in Europe would probably be greeted with swear words from the kids as they ran off.

  2. The exact term is also used in The Netherlands, buiten lander, outside land person, it's not really derogatory but can be used in combination with other words. To use the word foreigner in the snowflake Anglo sphere is a no no and not pee see. Personally I love meeting Thai people in Europe and referring to them as farang. I'm sure all societies and languages have such a term but it's never nice to bully people in school.
