  3. There is nothing Americans like more than getting dragged into a war. In fact they never need to be dragged they simply follow the money. Unfortunately for this little place an American Oil Company discovered lots of oil. The US lusts for control of oil, (this is why it hates Russia and Iran) , so it's boots on the ground time. The oil needs stealin' and Uncle Sam is happy to oblige.
