  1. I read comments today that the Russian non fossil fuel economy is growing again, inflation is coming down and the Russian Central Bank is considering reducing interest rates further. Russia seems fine and Europe is in a terrible situation. Double digit inflation, unsustainable energy costs and a 75 basis point increase in interest rates each month for the next 6 months.

  2. Russia has a huge economy, it is totally energy sufficient unlike the EU. It has a massive agricultural sector, metallurgy, an enormous industrial military complex and now an expanding service industry because people have more disposable income. Their electricity is really cheap, fuel is really cheap and China and India are buying astronomical amounts of gas, oil, coal, gold, diamonds, metals, rare earth minerals, uranium. It's an astonishingly rich country. The money it got from the EU in inflated has paid for the war.
