  1. Same vintage in Ireland and you are not alone. It's getting very disturbing here and it's as though there is no opposition, no journalism. They are all on the same page and we have new hate speech laws coming before the years end.

  2. The situation in Ireland is almost as bad as New Zealand in relation to the news. It's all narrative here, it's like all inquiry is gone, not allowed. The state broadcaster and 3 main newspapers are in total lockstep. Amazingly, you can get real citizen type stuff on TikTok of all places. For Ireland, it's not youtube but TikTok. I think it's because it's new and they're not taking down stuff as quickly as the American platforms. But there is no journalism only narrative and it seems to be self censorship. It's very disturbing.
