  3. Great analysis as always. I do think however that although President Putin may not have mentioned it the situation in Estonia and Latvia which have significant Russian populations is not ideal. There is ongoing persistent Russophobic behaviour and harassment. Russian culture is being denigrated, the Russian language is being suppressed and there is shameful destruction of memorial monuments. Narva is as Russian as Odessa or Mariupol. These part of the Baltic would be a significant strategic fit for Russian security in a rather difficult area. I suspect that Lithuania will join with Poland and Western Ukraine when the SMO is concluded.
