There are dome cars in economy where you can meet others and look at the scenery, You also used to be able to go to the back dining car (the nice one with the tablecloths & the chef food) and pay for your meals while riding coach, but now i believe you can only by stuff from the cafe-car in economy.

  4. YOU ARRIVED SOMEWHERE EARLY ON THE CANADIAN? I hope you got a lottery ticket LOL! I'M used to 12 hour delays, but that's cool because as long as you're on the train, THEY HAVE TO FEED YOU!!!! 👍

  5. 5:15 Yeah, i don't think there's a sign that says "Welcome to Manitoba"... In my 25+ years of taking the canadian i would have seen it LOL 😆

  8. The ONLY reason i'll fly to Vancouver instead of riding the train was when they stopped because of COVID, for budget reasons, or, this year, because i'm taking my cat. I have done the 5 day journey with a cat before, but it's kinda grueling for them to be in a cage that long. I'd probably stop in Winnipeg if i did.
