If we ever fool ourselves into investing , fossil fuels (also solar energy (stored)) will be replaced with millions of square miles of panels competing for space with crops, forests etc. The average 100BHP car would need 6,250 ft^2 of these foolish things to produce comparable power, @ $40 per ft^2 that is $250,000 LOL and that's only for a few hours a day if near the equator on a sunny cloudless day. Let's not forget they only last under ideal conditions for 17 years not accounting for Hail and other natural disasters. I love science and hate the phony charlatans of science selling this kind of snake oil to the uninformed public. Thorium LFTR is a real alternative to fossil fuels.
