Colleges charge too much because the federal student loan program never tells them no and as long as a young person is willing to sign their lives away believing they can pay it back later the costs will continue to rise. It creates indentured loan slaves. The government shouldn't "forgive" debt it should control the cost of education by denying funds creating a more streamlined, more affordable, less wasteful higher education system.
