  2. Deaf ? deaf and dumb ? or just not paying attention. She knew she was at an airport with jets coming for a landing.......That jet was on final ! How did she miss it ? Such a gross mistake is hard to believe. The military needs to STOP flying helicopters in the middle of jets traffic ! It is asking for problems. All they need is a parking lot and NOT runways.........

  7. Well, they are going to sue the military and I expect it is why they were trying to cover it up. They need to stop meddling with civilian jet traffic. That should seal the deal and close that opportunity, for good. Interesting what lawyers are gong to grab that one ! They need to. Civilians at a civilian airport are NOT collateral damages.

  11. Women pilots are fine. The astronaut who just spent 9 months in the ISS is also an ex- military helicopter pilot. She was until she trained to be an astronaut. This woman messed up, but don't blame all women.......some men also mess up. The gender issue is never validated even though women are certainly in lower numbers, performing these jobs. That is a fact.

  12. Tragic she took so many people with her, to the other side. There is no excuse for such bad behavior. She should have been sacked as her past was not flawless. One mistake and you kill a lot of people. Not forgivable.

  13. Being a woman is not the issue but one who does not get it, is the issue. Do not put all of us, in your team. I got a (single engine land license) when I was 25 and I did not have an accident. I was paying attention. You look around while you fly....especially if you are in the middle of civilian traffic !!!!!! When the tower tells you , you have to watch for several aircrafts, you keep your eyes opened.....and your ears....You locate these aircrafts.....That woman missed the one she hit. No excuse. ....
