  1. Mental illness, people......nothing normal here. You should not judge this poor woman. She is a victim who was poorly diagnosed and medicated with useless drugs. The psychotic episode is the fault of her shrink and of pharma. They both, failed her. Instead of making her better, they finished her off. That seems to be what pharma does.

  2. Terrified for sure. It is not a quick death. No mother in a normal state could do this. This poor woman has lost all control and likely she needed to take their lives, for whatever reason was on her confused mind. Andrea Yates who drowned her 5 kids said, she had to send them to God, as they would not have been pure enough to survive. That type of reasoning was validated, to her, taking their lives. Like this young woman, she also was a nurse ; evidently both women were undiagnosed, perhaps with multiple personalities. Shizophrenia comes to mind. I was a psych nurse in my distant past and I learned never to judge a mentally sick person. They need help, not blame.

  4. Correct but in the mean time, if the condition is not improved, you do not leave them , alone with the kids. You put someone there, with them.....The woman needed help with the kids, and evidently pharma did not help the situation. Neither did the shrink.

  6. She was ill. Do you not get that ? People need a quick course in mental illness. Amazing the clueless people and their ignorant comments. I think the prosecutor comes from you guys. She is one of you. She is not qualified to take on this case. It is evidently the results of a mental break down, with psychotic episode. It is not normal killing with a mother, getting rid of her kids. It is deeper than that.

  7. yes as they seem to rely too much on pharma which is eager to sell their questionable drugs, with impunity. It is a quick fix for the shrinks.....but destruction for the minds of the ones who need therapy, not drugs.......Therapy ! Being around people, getting support and encouragement.......not bags of drugs.

  9. psychotic episode. Yes, indeed the system failed her. Glad you got help. Always communicate with friends if you feel out of touch.....it is the best medicine. Support and love from people who care, works wonders. Often, it is just regular help needed, rest and sleep instead of drugs.

  11. Thank you for sharing and people need to hear, any normal person can suffer from post partum depression. The handling of it is so important as it is about loving, caring and sharing, while the mother gets plenty rest. That is the best therapy, instead of taking drugs that may make it all worse. We have these quick fixes to see shrinks who do nothing but prescribe meds that often do more harm than good. Happy for you , your mom was there to help. It makes all the difference. Imagine a stressed mother who has several children , who all need her attention. That can be overwhelming. These tragedies should be avoidable. It is heartbreaking, all around.

  13. He probably also feels like dying but he evidently knows, his wife was sick and he wants to support her. It was not the woman he knows, who killed their children, it was the illness. Now she is paralyzed from the waist down and will need a lot of help. Let's see how long he sticks around.

  14. Plain murder if you look it up on the internet. 20 years is about fair. I would not let her anywhere near children. She could have gotten life without parole. Maybe she should have.

  15. She is likely still medicated. She has to be, as she is not ready to come to grip with her actions. Mental illness is not clear to all people. This woman is ill. She will mourn and miss her children while the acts she committed may not even be in her consciousness. She jumped from the window either to run away from her deeds or she wanted to die. Not thinking properly as people usually just paralyse themselves, but they don't die, unless they hit their head. This woman is now paralyzed from the waist down. She will need a lot of care and that reality is another tragedy.
