  3. possibly ! it happened to a Concorde in Paris. A piece of metal hit a tire that blew up and caused a fuel tank to explode and burn. The plane crashed, right after take-off.......Unreal, yet it did happen.

  9. made met think of Jessie Combs who was racing some archaic machine to beat her own land speed record. I think it fell apart......Jessie died and I think she was 39 and a seasoned racer. Some gigs are just deadly and every time you race, your life is on the line. They know it. They take the chances.
