These pilots worked very hard to land the plane and they would have, had it, not been for that building in the way. I feel sure of that. They would have had a hard landing in the grass or the bushes. Buildings should not be that close to runways......It is insane. Reminds me of the crash in Korea, when a commercial jet had hit a bird , and landed OK but a little too fast to stop before the end of the runway. They hit that idiotic cement structure that was not needed there. Who put a huge cement block at the end of a runway ? Not a pilot for sure. The guy responible for these things., took them all down but it was too late for the people who died in that crash.

You are making a great point about an aborted take off, that would have been picked instead of a marginal one, that failed, instantly.

Check out the statement of one of the whistle blowers who worked for Boeing as a security engineer. He found some issues that were troublesome but was told to say nothing. They even transferred him to another department. He is now talking to Senate and some News media . HIs name is Sam Salehpoor. He is a brave man but I wish he had talked before that accident happened. Too cruel to think, maybe it could have been avoided.

What was that loud explosion the survivor heard, right before the plane started to go down ? Blowing an engine ? about a bomb ?

Not moving fast enough to inspect everyone of these planes. They have a plan and even released the cost, but we are not seeing it, happening. Makes people uncomfortable to fly these planes. According to the whistle blower, Sam Salehpoor, who was a security engineer at Boeing, he quotes the 777 has the same issues as the Dreamliner. Why would Civil Aviation drag their feet ? Maybe sucking up to Boeing ? who knows ?

The pilots stated, they had no power and no hydraulics when they declared MayDay . They had no control. All they could do is maintain the best they could , straight and level , as they were sinking to the ground. I think they may have made it, had they not hit the d... building. Too many buildings around airports. Too many people hitting them .

He seemed to be coming down too fast ; when maybe he had a little wind, he was unable to control the touching of the runway with a wing tip. The wing broke and that started the roll for him to end up upside down, also kept the fire from burning the plane as it stayed in the broken off wing. Definitely not a good landing. I was thinking wind sheer at first but watching him come down, it showed, he was going too fast to land safely. NTSB will have it, figured out, just by looking at the data.

Do you suspect fuel could be contaminated ?
