  5. It is a silly old (very old ) saying as I heard it when I was a student pilot, many years ago. You should be able to make good landings, under any conditions if you qualify to fly that FO seat. If you don't, you are not fit for that gig. Back to the SIM for that girl.

  9. Propellers are usually instant decapitation. Jet engines do the job, on a bigger scale. The people who intentionally die that way , have a theatrical sense of morbidity . They may also have a little S+M but more than anything, they are angry and they want to show it, to everyone around. I expect his co-workers knew he was angry, but did not realize , until it was too late, how angry he was. He would have had to be manhandled to be stopped, after he gave away his personal affects. Rough on these people, who could not help him.

  12. Too fast, no flare , a very hard touch down and damage to the plane.....broke landing gear, tore up a wing.......and flipped. WoW......NO fatalities was a miracle. I could see some broken necks.....at that speed......

  16. The Indu philosophy has a lot of wisdom about death. You have to let them go, and send them love. In the mean time, you have to move on, as you are different but a wiser human being. It is not natural to bury our children, ever, no matter how old we , or they, are, but life is a classroom where we learn difficult lessons. Have to let go and send them love, and forgiveness. It is the best way to avoid building up karma. Send her a kiss and, according to the fantastic experiences, we hear from ND people, being without a body seems like an amazing freedom. We will all, get there, in due time.

Unless he had an eval with a shrink, it is not always easy to establish the difference between mental illness , depression and/or , just extreme anger, combined with multiple emotions, that could have caused this tragedy. It is not always mental illness. People assume, it has to be, but not always. It is complicated. More than anything, what that act tells me, he was very angry and theatrical, wanting to get attention, not considering how he was going to hurt his family, instead actually maybe even, getting satisfaction over this behavior. I was once upon a time a psych nurse and I picked up a few things, from being around mental ill people. The books we learn from , are mostly old and not justifying our current lifestyle. It changes everything. He could also have been taking meds that affected him. We know nothing about this poor man, but we are, all talking about him. He got our attention.

  26. It would be incorporated into the structure where it does not come loose. I have chicken wire in mind...ha...ha.....would stop debris but should not affect the performance. They would have to do some research on the right metal to use for that " chicken wire"........Engines inject a lot of stuff, besides these poor birds. There is a lot of junk in the atmosphere. Trash is everywhere.....

  28. He no longer feels...he is free. His family has to feel his loss and the humiliation of the process. A suicide is never rewarded or rewarding, for anyone involved. People like to blame mental illness or anything that can make them feel less guilty, like having poor relationships with their loved ones. They have to let it all go......and forgive him, or they accumulate karma, over it. Have to let go of that baggage. Send him loving thoughts and smile. Forgive him, for his anger and his desperation. Set him free.
