  4. He had nothing to say.....He was "flying", not thinking he was about to hit terrain.....It is not even unusual......very common in that sort of weather. I also doubt they have facilities such as ATC. They were in the "wilderness"......that is my guess. I have never been there.

  5. That "system" was a basic old instrument panel. Not even qualifying to fly instruments only, on VFR. Could that pilot fly instruments ? probably not.

  6. You are assuming I expect. We need more than your word, to believe you. That old chopper was barely fit to fly and barely on instruments, as I guess, neither was the pilot.

  7. Good helicopters, with qualified instrument pilots, do just fine. The VFR guys who need the view, not so much.......They hit terrain. It is also what happened with Kobe Bryant. The pilot got confused, in the fog. All 9 people on board got killed, just like that group of guys.......nothing survives when the chopper hits terrain, at full speed.

  10. It was an accident, clear as the blue sky....they did not have. Weather changes in minutes......These guys did not expect the sudden fog. No weather experts there.

  13. not likely in this case. Just an accident. The fact a lot of people did not like the old guy does not mean he was eliminated. Only Putin does that....when an old friend pisses him off. He zaps the plane, no matter who is in it......besides the one he wants to get rid of. He did that with his ex friend, who was paid to fight his battles. Did not work out well for him. What was he thinking ? Putin has the memory of an old elephant.

  16. because it is a laser beam . What took down that chopper was clearly , the weather. These old choppers cannot fly , by instruments and likely, neither did the pilot.
