  1. When a person has the mental ability to be there, it is different but still, the physical pain of your husband and the difficult life it created for you could have been avoided. We live in a state of mental limitations due to our society and how it sees life. The outcome should really be up to us, how we perceive it and the decisions we make for us and the ones around us. We are not improving life but manipulating emotions around negative situations. Why ? we have not progressed enough. The weak find strength in caring for the disable but what is it really ? guilt ? low self esteem ? where does it come from ? a sense of responsibility built in by society ? I expect it is exactly that.

  2. I do not see how these situations are tolerable. They never get better . If you would study their brains, there are no emotions showing as these patients are in a state of self destruction, denial , confusion while delivering their habitual robotic motions. This is not life and we should make meaningful changes to avoid the pity parties. We need euthanasia as it would benefit everyone. We all die, anyway and we should do it with dignity. Why get stuck in an organic shell that is not responsive ? Just move on ! I would want to, in these instances. Sticking around makes no sense. We need to get past the religious hurdles that control many people and their lifestyle. It is not what LIFE is about.
