all situations are different. Some have no future at all but a vegetative state. I hate to think how pissed Schumacher is, if he is able to comprehend his condition, in any way. I doubt he is. He seems to be minimally conscious as it is normal for many brain injuries. They never really improve but people around them adapt enough to maintain the status quo. Tragic, all around. Most of us would want to be dead instead.

his wife is hiding him as many German wives would . She does not want anyone seeing her husband as a vegetable. Is she thinking about him or about herself ? we will never know but she is secretive and deceptive. Now she is pushing her son to follow his footsteps and that is very creepy to me. She even suggested he could use her name instead as of not attracting attention. I see that as deception and delusions. Poor kid .

He is obviously a vegetable. Why would she hide his condition ? she should share. She would get support instead of critics. Now she is pushing their son into the game. What controlling woman ! she needs the money Mick may make to support her lifestyle and her husband's experimental treatments. Money runs like water when you get into these issues. Very tragic situation.

It is why everyone should have a living will that specifies what to do under conditions like that. I doubt he would agree to being a vegetable which is likely what he is. It is called " minimally conscious". No talking, no eye contact, nothing. Fed by gastric tube, maybe even on a ventilator ? totally incontinent but getting massages so his body will not totally rot. A real disgrace for a guy like MS. Few people would want to exist that way. As a race driver you would think he had a living will which is strange if he did not. It is a dangerous job ! if you do not die, you do not want to survive and exist like a vegetable. This unfortunate event happened when he went skiing off the designated trail. He should have stayed where other people enjoyed the sport. He lost control of his ski and he hit his head on a rock. He was done, in my opinion. What a bummer and a freak accident for a guy who lived in constant danger and won the battle. He lost that one, in my opinion.

His wife has the money to experiment with anything but I expect she should be running out of it , so she is pushing her son into that lucrative game. Does she know how dangerous it is ? Her husband survived racing but got his brain bashed on a rock, after he fell off his ski. How weird is that ? Destiny, evidently......Let's see what happens with his son. He seems arrogant to me , like his mother.
