Thinking about your video....I know , the problems a pilot may have while on the ground, get accumulated the moment they become airborne . I feel the captain of that flight may have been better off aborting the take off under the conditions that were developing. Taking off was a poor decision as , either way, the plane may have been a loss but it is possible some human beings would have been saved, had he aborted the flight. ATC knew it was on fire and I expect fire engines were ready to control the problem, at the end of that runway........Taking off was not a good decision. Hey ! I am an old woman who accumulated 300 hours of flight as a private pilot, some fifty years ago, until I decided I had to make a living some other way......That said, I have a keen sense of what is safe and what is not. 300 hours as a Captain in that Concorde, was not enough......My personal opinion. Much fumbling around in that cockpit.......The first Officer was better qualified. He had more time in the Concorde. O well....
