  1. exactly my intuition. The take off should have been aborted. Some people may have been saved as the tower knew, fire was trailing the plane, during the take off run.

  8. That video needs to be sent to the airplanes manufacturers. Putting it on YouTube is not enough. Nothing should be neglected if avoiding a catastrophe is the topic.

  11. Thinking about your video....I know , the problems a pilot may have while on the ground, get accumulated the moment they become airborne . I feel the captain of that flight may have been better off aborting the take off under the conditions that were developing. Taking off was a poor decision as , either way, the plane may have been a loss but it is possible some human beings would have been saved, had he aborted the flight. ATC knew it was on fire and I expect fire engines were ready to control the problem, at the end of that runway........Taking off was not a good decision. Hey ! I am an old woman who accumulated 300 hours of flight as a private pilot, some fifty years ago, until I decided I had to make a living some other way......That said, I have a keen sense of what is safe and what is not. 300 hours as a Captain in that Concorde, was not enough......My personal opinion. Much fumbling around in that cockpit.......The first Officer was better qualified. He had more time in the Concorde. O well....

  12. Unbelievable the pilots survived. What burden for them to tolerate ! The weather was so marginal, why take off ? Had I been one of these pilots, after the Captain got his shoes wet, I would have suggested not to take off. Just cancel the flight ! Too many negative variables, as gambling is not a good idea, when you have 179 souls on board. So tragic.

  15. That flight attendant needs to be told to report the fact and not fudge it. There is no engine where it should be and it makes a lot of difference how the pilots can handle this issue......Girl......run in there and say " engine is missing ". The passengers may not need to know but the pilots certainly do.

  17. The tunnel was not about friendship but profits generated by the ease of taking a train to reach each place. The French and the Brits are too different to have any interest in each other. The history goes way back as the Plantagenets were ruling the Brits......Maybe they feel, England should really be french...These current royals are not legitimate as they come from a queen who slept with a commoner and got pregnant, when the king was at war. So ? it is actually documented. ...No idea why they are so popular and rich......The Brits are true followers or "subjects" as the queen calls them. . I would call them sheep, but hey....I am a descendant of the Plantagents, so I am told. Did me no good as I moved to the US, as an adult. History does not affect your current existence.....You are on your own.

  22. Russia has been known for pilots on vodka and now for their kids in control of commercial jets. Not cool, at all. Nothing about Russia surprises me. VP is too busy collecting his billions from the oil/gas, so he may purchase mansions in these European countries, he so dislikes....Yeah...Vlad......Sure.....You are just envious, you have to resort to stealing from the Russian people, to justify getting these billions. What is your take on Ukraine ? " You want the land " we get it but the people do not want to give it to you !!!!! Get that too ? They are murdered, dude......men, women and kids.....their dogs and cats....all murdered. What does it have to do with flying jets ? you are their leader, dude.....that's what it has to do with it.   23. Losing an engine is bad enough but physically losing it, is rare. The weight difference had to be really obvious, in terms of handling the plane. Keep it as straight as possible would have been good. Avoid any turns, unless absolutely necessary. Weight distribution is important. Engines are heavy. Good job there.....
