@mrsslav5593 If you mean Kievan Rus you are right. If you talk about Moscov's rule you are wrong. Polish-Lithuenian Commonwelth rule there for over 400 years, ealier Lithurnian, Mongols and Ruthenian. NEVER BEFORE 1795 MOSCOV.

@mrsslav5593 There is difference between group like Slavs to modern nations. Presence of ethnic Russians on this lands is cause by colonisation done by tsars and more aggresive by Soviets. Official ideology of Russia from 18th century was gathering all Slav nations under russian rule. Whatever they want or not be included in russian empire. Problem with Bielarusian is that modern nation rise from pesants, nobelmans and better educated classes chosoe culuture of Poland, Lithuania or Russia. Still claiming that Ukrainians and Bielarusians are in majority ethnic Russians is anyway close to truth. Ruthian is not the same as Russian.

@mrsslav5593 And Stalin or Kruschev better treaten home countries? No they don't. In reality ethnic background didn't in any way change soviet politics. Only highest levels of party decide. Rest was just smoke and mirror hidding reality of soviet regime. Republics have no real power or influence. Domination of russian language and culture was state policy. Local culture was suppresed, any independent movments can't exist in USSR. Still today Russia try to claim that Bielarusians and Ukrainians are basicly Russians, not independent nations and culture. The same ideology was promoted in 19th century about Poles as a forced asimilation policy. I remeber how agressive Moscov react when republics try break from USSR in 1991. Basicly after over 70 years of expirience no republics want to be part of Union controled PIETROGROD. I

@mrsslav5593 Then you should remeber that after rule of Mongols that Land were depopulated. That mean that todays nations living there are mixtiure of Ruthenian, Lithuenians, Poles and other small nations. It is not that simple, like claim that PLC occiupied this lands.
