Zero was well balanced plane but not superior to Wildcat. Some of characteristics were sacrificed in Zero, when others were prioritized. Not bad plane, but most legend is built on superior pilot skills o IJN pilots. And older type planes use by oponents, like P-36 or P-40. In case of Long Lance, it was just monstrous size weapon with very high performance. Secret was in using pure Oxygen as a part of fuel. Technology tested by some na ies, but regard too dangerous to use. But Mk is a whole saga of misamenagment. Drachinfel made two great Videos about Long Lance and Mk 14. As a historic joke is that German torpedo also were very bad at the start of WW2.

First "modern" computer was a German Z3 build in 1943, but designed as early as 1935. Fun fact after war captured Z3 was wrongly assambled and did not work, that made false assumption of UK machine beeing first one. But in the reality both sides were close in the race and Nazis can't produce that much of that advance and complicated machine. When Allied can produce much bigger numbers.

I hope when you will talk about Enigma you will also point role of Poles in breaking the code. In first place a major role of three mathematicians: Marian Rejewski, Henryk Zygalski and Jerzy Różycki . There is superb Drachinifel's video about that: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rekaj8bBWiU
