I will gladly get a booster shot for COVID in mid to late December. Also, please get a flu shot this year. It's important every year, but it's especially important this year to get a flu shot, and I plan to do so in October.

Mari Jayne It should be mandatory. They're putting other people's health and safety, including the vaccinated and those who can't get the vaccine due to medical reasons or age in danger and are likely going to cause a vaccine resistant variant to emerge.

@davidbeaulieu4815 I would like to see mandatory vaccination for everyone except those who have a legitimate medical reason why they can't be vaccinated. I also agree with you that we need to get doses shipped out to third world countries ASAP.

@Notwithstanding0 The vaccine is how we can open things up safely. If everyone who can would get vaccinated, cases, hospitalizations, and deaths would all dramatically decrease, and it would be safe to open everything again.

@frankmarano1118 I plan to get my flu shot in October, and I'm glad that you're getting the COVID vaccine. I disagree with you about the flu shot for this simple reason. There will likely be a COVID surge in the winter when the flu peaks. If the flu is circulating in conjunction with a COVID surge, that would likely overwhelm our hospitals and healthcare system. That's why I think everyone needs to be vaccinated against the flu this year.

Same here, and I am also getting vaccinated against the flu in October.

@V I'm way too young to get the shingles shot, but if you are old enough, you definitely should.

@nanoflower1 Flu season peaks in the winter months, and it typically dies down around April. I have heard that protection from the vaccine lasts approximately six months, so I don't want the protection to die down in February and March as the flu is still widespread.
