She's not qualified to serve on SCOTUS, but sadly, she'll be a justice. Democrats need to pack the court should they get a trifecta!

@dees4991 Obama was, but Trump isn't.

@apurplelightsaber I'm not a senator, but if I was, I'd vote against her for two reasons. 1: The next president should fill that seat. This is different than in 2016 when I believed that Obama's nominee should've gotten a hearing and a vote because unlike then, people were already voting for the president and the Senate when RBG died. 2: She couldn't name all of the enumerated rights listed in the First Amendment. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-election-2020/amy-coney-barrett-trump-supreme-court-protest-first-amendment-b1041461.html

@reaganak40 I never said that it was unconstitutional. I’m saying that vacancies should not be filled until the new president takes office because people are already voting, and by voting for president and Senate, you indirectly vote for judges on SCOTUS.

@reaganak40 Lincoln's party had control of the Senate in 1864, and Lincoln didn't nominate a justice when one died very close to the election. When a justice dies when it's nine to ten months out, the president should be able to nominate a justice. When people are already voting or if they weren't re-elected, as was the case when RBG died, they shouldn't be.

@FleurPillager She isn't qualified. She couldn't name all of the rights that the First Amendment protects! I expect any judge to know the Constitution very well.

@apurplelightsaber 1: If she doesn’t know the basic things that the First Amendment protects, she shouldn’t be on SCOTUS. I don’t expect someone to be able to recite the Declaration of Independence from memory verbatim because not many people can do that. I can’t. I do expect a SCOTUS judge, to know the Constitution very well because a lot of cases and rulings are based on that. Having taken AP Government, I know the things that the First Amendment protects: freedom of religion, no established religion, freedom of speech, freedom of the press, and freedom to assemble and peacefully protest. 2: There’s nothing unconstitutional about what Trump did, but I firmly believe that when people are already voting for the next president and Senate, the seat shouldn’t be filled until the new president takes office or until the president wins re-election.
