  1. Get the nuclear codes out of his hands now, please! That's one revision that needs to be made. I'd have it to where any nuclear strike can only be done after the president has consulted with his or her cabinet, his or her cabinet approves, and two-thirds of both Houses of Congress approve.

  2. @S Lop I don’t think so, and I think that the benefit far outweighs the risk. 1: There’d be quick approval if someone struck us to use that. 2: We have an anti-missile defense system. 3: You could even require that nobody except the president, his or her cabinet, and Congress can know.

  3. @S Lop You could have a system where a high-ranking military official can unilaterally launch a nuclear weapon if we’re directly attacked, but they’d have to get a yearly mental test, and they could only launch it if were directly attacked. I’m more worried about Trump going rogue and launching one, especially because he never considers the consequences, than I am about a potential strike from our enemies.
