Rather than decriminalization, marijuana ought to be taxed, regulated, and legalized. Like Prohibition, the War on Drugs has been a failure.

@50jakecs I support taxing, regulating, and legalizing marijuana. Decriminalization is not the same thing as legalization. Decriminalization means that it's still illegal, but possession won't result in prison time but could result in other punishments such as a fine whereas legalization means that it's legal and that you won't be punished for possession.

@caladan4130 Decriminalization and legalization are not the same thing. Read my comment above which explains the difference.
