  1. It's not safe to reopen, but once again, it proves that Trump and the GOP don't care about how many people die. They just want the economy to get better so that Trump has a better chance of winning. What Trump fails to realize is that he'd be in much better shape for re-election had he taken this crisis seriously and instituted a nationally coordinated response instead of the 50 state hodgepodge that we got. In March, the federal government should've done, at a minimum, a national mask order, closure of all non-essential businesses, giving everyone $2,000 a month for the duration of the crisis, and declaring that failure to pay rent or mortgage due to COVID-19 can't result in foreclosure or eviction.
