I blame Trump. He politicized the virus and mask-wearing, and he doesn’t realize that he would’ve probably won re-election had he mounted a competent response.

@stephanielewis5595 Trump woke people up. He caused massive turnout against him in 2018, and his massive opposition turned out in 2020 to ensure that he didn't get another four years.

@stephanielewis5595 What about my trifecta statement was false? Trump is a Republican, and Republicans controlled the House, Senate, and presidency during the first half of his term. In 2018, the GOP lost the House. In 2020, they also lost the presidency. In 2021, they lost the Georgia runoffs meaning that they also lost the Senate.

@stephanielewis5595 Here's an idea of just how bad and hated Trump was. Trump was the first president since Herbert Hoover to enter office with a trifecta (House, Senate, and presidency), and leave office after one term with the other party having a trifecta.
